CAMP to Discuss Tariffs, Industry Issues at Spring Meetings

Members of the Campground Association for Management Professionals (C.A.M.P.) plan to meet in Washington, D.C. June 5 to discuss the impact of Canadian tariffs and other topics during the RV Industry Association’s “RVs Move America Week,” according to a press release.

“State campground association directors are already going to be in Washington to meet with legislators during ‘RVs Move America Week.’ So, it makes sense for C.A.M.P. members to meet at that time as well and RVIA has been very welcoming,” said C.A.M.P. President Michael Moore.

C.A.M.P. members will discuss current events, including the impact of Canadian tariffs on U.S. campgrounds and RV parks, as well as newly enhanced state association member benefits after OHI’s decision to move to a direct membership model rather than having state associations act as OHI’s dues collectors for campgrounds in those states.

“Affiliated state association directors had been limited in what member benefits they could offer in the past and to what extent. But that’s no longer the case as we work together as a group and use our reach to leverage the best value possible for our members nationwide,” Moore said. “This would include working closer with Hospitality Connections, the American Glamping Association and other organizations. It’s a very exciting time.”
