Members of the Campground Association for Management Professionals (C.A.M.P.) plan to hold their last meeting of the year on Dec. 2 in Branson, Mo., a day before the annual Campground Owners Expo, according to a press release.
Both the C.A.M.P. meeting and the Campground Operators Expo will be held at the Hilton Branson Convention Center.
Laura Simmons, a certified association executive from Impact Association Management in Madison, Wis., will keynote the C.A.M.P. meeting and discuss the latest member recruitment and management strategies employed by other professional associations nationwide.
“We want our meeting to provide an opportunity for professional development beyond our industry discussions and Laura will help us provide that educational component,” said Michael Moore, C.A.M.P.’s president.
Other topics to be discussed during the C.A.M.P. meeting —include:
- Legislative wins for the private campground industry across the country in 2025 and the actions state campground associations can take to secure similar legislative “wins” in other states.
- Updates from the RV Industry Association (RVIA) on the new National Electric Code requirements for grounding monitor interruptors and what that means for the campground industry. GoRVing will also provide an update on the RV-250 media campaign for 2026 and the exposure it gives for independently owned and operated campgrounds across the country.
- Updates on savings and discount programs being offered by Hospitality Connections, a national alliance that provides the benefits of group buying power to campground industry associations across the country.
- The latest marketing initiatives that state campground industry associations are using to increase their membership base.
C.A.M.P will also host a happy hour with vendors that gives state executives and vendors time to mix and mingle with each other.
The mixer is sponsored by RVIA. Vendors can sign up to attend the mixer with this link.
State executives can sign up to attend the C.A.M.P. meeting through the association’s website at https://campgroundexecutives.com/.
